Ovations is a
social group created to support The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem through a
variety of activities. This group
shall serve to enhance our theatre community by showing appreciation for our
many dedicated volunteers, by raising public awareness through coordination of
special events, and by recruiting new volunteers.
Ovations
offers a variety of exciting opportunities:
- Special
Events – Plan,
organize, and implement annual fundraising activities.
- Volunteer
Coordination –
Secure and schedule volunteers for activities and events.
- Food/Concessions
– Plan, prepare, and procure menu items for various Ovations-sponsored
events.
- Membership/Incentives
– Organize membership drives and meetings, and oversee incentive packages
for members.
While
volunteering is not a criterion for membership, members who choose to donate
their time for Ovations-sponsored events will be eligible for the Rewards
Program. This program is a way for us to show our appreciation for
members who generously give their time and energy to the theatre.
Meeting hourly requirements of service qualifies you to receive rewards!
Annual
membership dues are necessary, as donations and dues are the only source of
funding for Ovations. They will cover activities, such as parties and “Show
Angels,” designed to show appreciation for all of our devoted Little Theatre
volunteers. The dues and donations
are tax deductible.
